Louise Bourgeois's work, which spanned most of the 20 th century, was heavily influenced by traumatic psychological events from her childhood, particularly her father's infidelity. Louise Joséphine Bourgeois (French: [lwiz buʁʒwa] (); 25 December 1911 – 31 May 2010) was a French-American artist.
