In these days of prominence of Black Lives Matter, it shows why they matter as it it showcases an improbable but true story of redemption and what can be accomplished through love against difficult forces.
Especially considering the times we live in we need to hear more stories like this. I like the film and it resonates on several levels. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Great movie! This was incredible. Really enjoyed the movie and am a huge fan of Forest Whitaker who plays a Baptist preacher Rev.
Thought this was a well made film on race and forgiveness and Christianity. 5.0 out of 5 stars highly recommended film and compelling story. I wouldn't buy since I don't want to as a Christian own movies with with cursing and things but I really enjoyed it and think it's worth watching even once. Together, Burden and Kennedy fight to overcome the Klan's efforts.It looks like we don't have a Synopsis for this title yet. I am thankful the DVD has been released.

The movie affirms people can change their hearts from pure hatred to love. Definitely worth watching. It is a largely accurate story but the actual story seems to be more complex and messy than can be portrayed in a film. Our world would be a much smaller and insignificant place to live without diversity, cultures, ethnicities. Pastor Kennedy played so well by Forrest Whitiker reminded me of my best friend and mentor Rev.
