As others have pointed out, this film is essentially "Groundhog Day" set at Christmas with a younger protagonist. I first seen this film on sky at Christmas, really good film so i bought the dvd to have it too keep.
As the only one experiencing the day over and over, he decides to use his unique gift to give the holidays a makeover - and his family a Christmas they will never forget. I like how they used the middle child as the ignored/overlooked one,and main character. This movie has the right mix of ingredients.
It did take a lot of story line from a movie that came out several years ago called (if I remember correctly) Christmas Every Day, but they put a different spin on it, so it didn't make that much difference.

By the end of the movie, I was enjoying it quite a bit. Only Ok at the side of a lot of other Christmas films.....it was part of the plot to be repetitive but it became boring.
